Our History
Today’s Bellevue Holding Company traces its lineage back to 1924, when general contractor Domenick Cantera completed his first construction project in Wilmington, Delaware. His brother-in-law, Arthur Carota, joined the firm in 1937, and his son, Carl, in 1949. The company grew and prospered during the fifties and sixties while honing its construction skills and broadening its range of services to include commercial and industrial real estate development. With the arrival of the current generation of principals, Bellevue has seen a major growth in its core construction businesses, as well as exciting new ventures into large-scale residential construction.
